Rev. Alfredo Gutierrez

District Superintendent

Alfredo was born to Christian parents in Cuba.  His father was a political prisoner for seven years, until he was granted asylum with his family in the United States in 1973.  They soon attended the Primera Iglesia in Hialeah, where Alfredo became part of the leadership team for youth. He than attended Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, Georgia and married his sweetheart, Daisy.

Alfredo served as youth pastor in Homestead, Florida, senior pastor in Houston and Pasadena, Texas,  interim pastor in Bloomingdale, Illinois, founding pastor of Iglesia ACyM in Pembroke Pines, Florida, and Assistant to the D.S./Director of Church Planting for The Alliance Southeast.  He was recently elected District Superintendent of The Alliance Southeast.  He earned a Master of Arts degree from Wheaton Graduate School in Wheaton, Illinois.  

Alfredo and Daisy have two grown married children, Anita and John Baker, and Alfredo, Jr. and Megan.

Rev. John Sappia

Assistant to the District Superintendent

John Sappia was born in Brooklyn, New York and started attending an Alliance Church in 1981.  After graduating from Nyack College and Reformed Theological Seminary, John and his family spent 13 years pastoring teenagers and young adults.  The Sappias were called to Paraguay, South America in 1997 and spent 8 years living overseas planting the Mi Esperanza (My Hope) church and developing leaders.  In 2016, John joined the Alliance Southeast team as Multiplication Associate for Latin Ministries in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.  There, John has the privilege of working alongside of the great pastors and leaders of that region. 

John’s passion is discipling and helping others put their unique gifts and personality into the work of the ministry that God has “planned in advance” for them (Ephesians 2:10). 

John married his best friend, Lisa in 1994 and they have an amazing family with two girls (Alison and Megan) and two boys (Andrew and Caleb). 

Ms. Ellen Diomedes

Administrative Director

Ellen was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Florida in 1980.  Raised in a Christian home, she accepted Christ at the age of six.  Ellen rededicated her life to Christ at the age of 26, recognizing there’s a difference between knowing Him and having a relationship with Him. 

Ellen has served The Alliance Southeast since November 1998, having the longest tenure of any current staff member.  As the Administrative Director, Ellen brings an in-depth knowledge for maintaining official documents which include district church files and official worker files of the district; organizing and directing ongoing administrative responsibilities while providing secretarial support for the District Leadership Team.

Prior to coming to The Alliance Southeast, Ellen served 17 years with the City Clerk’s Office of a Florida municipality.  She loves being with family and friends, and enjoys music and Christian fiction.  She is also a fan of baseball, football, and of course, shopping!

Mrs. Patricia Santos

Financial Services Director

Trish was born in Putnam County, New York and lived in Texas for five years before moving to Florida when she was 11.  She came to Christ in her mid-20’s when she learned about salvation through Jesus Christ and responded to an alter call.   She and her husband, Chris, were baptized at Ft. Gatlin Alliance Church, Orlando, where Trish served as treasurer for three years.

Prior to coming to The Alliance Southeast in 2009, Trish worked for three years growing her husband’s wallcovering business, and has been its financial operations officer.  She was the Senior Marketing Manager for The Ritz-Carlton Club for six years and prior to that, in Operations for Everything But Water.

Although no children of their own, Trish & Chris have plenty of nieces and nephews to spoil.  They also like to spoil their two dogs, Lily and Ajax.  Trish enjoys traveling (mostly on her husband’s motorcycle), a good movie, and Starbucks.

Ms. Amy Petke

Office Secretary

Amy grew up in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, in a Christian home where she came to Christ at an early age.  She later went on to attend Toccoa Falls College where she earned her degree in Music Education with an instrumental concentration.

In 2002, she moved to DeLand, Florida.  Prior to coming to The Alliance Southeast, Amy served as the Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper at an Alliance church in DeLand.  She has been serving with The Alliance Southeast since January 2011.

Amy enjoys music, reading, and baking.  Her pride and joy is her son, Alexander (10 yrs.) who she spends a lot of time throwing the football with!
